It is common for people to forget about borrowed money, with some even taking large sums without any intention of repaying. However, a remarkable story has emerged about a brother and sister who traveled all the way from the United States to India just to repay a peanut vendor they owed money to. Their honesty has become a topic of admiration among many.

Namani Pranav and Suchita, who reside in the U.S., are Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). In 2010, they visited Andhra Pradesh with their father, Mohan, and while at U Kothapalli beach, they encountered a peanut vendor named Sattayya. They enjoyed some peanuts but soon realized that Mohan had forgotten his wallet at home.

When Mohan explained the situation to Sattayya, the vendor was not upset at all; instead, he generously offered them peanuts for free. Impressed by Sattayya's kindness, Mohan took a photo of him and promised to repay the debt later. However, due to their NRI status, they had to return to the U.S. without settling the debt.

Twelve years later, Mohan, along with his children Namani and Suchita, returned to India and remembered the peanut vendor. Determined to find him, they began their search but initially had no luck. They were committed to repaying the debt, so they sought assistance from local MLA Chandrashekar Reddy, asking for help in locating Sattayya.

The MLA posted about the search on Facebook, which led to some villagers from Sattayya's hometown, Nagulapalli, coming forward with news. Unfortunately, they learned that Sattayya had passed away. Despite their sadness, Mohan and his children decided to honor their commitment. They met with Sattayya's family and repaid the original 25 rupees with a generous 25,000 rupees.

This act of integrity has garnered widespread praise on social media, with many highlighting how rare such honesty is in today's world. While many people tend to forget about their debts, finding individuals who go out of their way to repay them is indeed a rarity.
