Aishwarya Raj Bhakuni is venturing into deeply emotional themes with her latest vertical series, Marham. She describes it as a narrative centered around 'true love, betrayal, and revenge,' highlighting the more sinister aspects of relationships.
In the series, Aishwarya portrays Shweta, a married woman who feels emotionally abandoned by her husband, Saurabh. This neglect drives her to make life-altering decisions. 'The character is multi-dimensional with a profound emotional journey, which I found thrilling as an actress,' she explains.
To maintain authenticity, Aishwarya opts for simple sarees throughout the series, making her character relatable. She also enjoyed working alongside Karan Mehra, calling the collaboration 'comfortable and creatively fulfilling.'
After her role as Devi Parvati, Aishwarya has become more discerning about her projects. 'I aim to steer clear of scenes that might offend anyone. It's crucial for me to balance storytelling with a sense of responsibility,' she adds.
