Ben Stokes endured a modest outing with the bat for Durham County Cricket Club, falling for 14 in their County Championship Division Two clash against Worcestershire County Cricket Club at New Road.
Making his comeback after injury and England’s Ashes defeat, Stokes edged young pacer Jack Home to slip after facing 17 balls. Earlier, Stokes had impressed on day one by taking two wickets in his first competitive appearance since surgery.
Worcestershire posted 308 in the first innings, with Home scoring 63, while Durham ended day two on 207/6, led by David Bedingham’s 83.
