Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Second All India Police Badminton Cluster Competition 2025-26 in Lucknow. About 1400 players from police and paramilitary forces across the country are participating in the competition. The players appreciated the arrangements of UP Police.
Lucknow. The grand inauguration of the Second All India Police Badminton Cluster (Badminton and Table Tennis) Competition 2025-26 took place on Saturday in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated this competition organized at Babu Banarasi Das UP Badminton Academy located in Gomtinagar. During this, the Chief Minister encouraged the players by playing with them on the badminton court.

Police badminton and table tennis competition will run from 9 to 13 May.
This competition organized by Uttar Pradesh Police is being organized from 9th May to 13th May. Police and paramilitary force teams from across the country are participating in this. Teams from many states including UP Police, Gujarat Police, Karnataka Police, Orissa Police and Chhattisgarh Police are participating in the competition. Around 1400 players have participated in the event. During the competition, matches of both badminton and table tennis will be organised.
Chief Minister Yogi released the souvenir of the competition
During the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also released the souvenir of the competition. Kapil Chaudhary took the responsibility of administering the oath to the players. On this occasion, a short film based on sports and achievements of players in Uttar Pradesh was also shown, which was appreciated by everyone.
The atmosphere became enthusiastic due to the presentation of PAC Band.
The band of 35th Corps PAC presented melodious tunes in the programme, filling the entire campus with enthusiasm and energy. Players and spectators enjoyed the cultural presentation.
Players appreciated the arrangements of UP Police and Government
The players who came to participate in the competition openly praised the arrangements made by the Uttar Pradesh government and the UP Police. Karnataka police player Kali Krishna said that Uttar Pradesh is a good state and the atmosphere here is very positive. He also praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that the arrangements here are excellent.
Players from Orissa and Chhattisgarh praised the event
Odisha Police player Devendra Kumar told that nine players of his team have come to participate in the competition. He said that excellent arrangements have been made for the players and special care is being taken of all the facilities. Devendra Kumar praised Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said, 'Yogi ji is great'.
Chhattisgarh Police player Rajesh Mani Singh is participating in single, double and mixed badminton matches. He said that every time he gets a great experience in Uttar Pradesh and the accommodation and food arrangements for the players are very good.
36 players from Gujarat are taking part in the competition
Gujarat Police player Riyaz Sarvaiya is participating in the men's singles and doubles matches of table tennis. He told that 36 players have come from Gujarat to participate in the competition. Riyaz said that Lucknow is a very beautiful city and the experience here was memorable for him.
Praising the arrangements of UP Police, he said that the level of organization organized for the players is praiseworthy. He also said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is working to promote sports talents by giving opportunities to players like promotion and direct recruitment.
