Dhanrua. On the seventh day of the grand Rasleela Mahotsav going on in Harla village of the block, a very touching staging of Sudama character based on the friendship of Lord Shri Krishna and Sudama ji was performed by the artists of Vyas Shri Nandkishore ji who came from Barsana Vrindavan. The lively presentation of the artists left the devotees present emotional.

In Raasleela, the story of Sudama ji’s poverty-filled life, his wife Sushila’s inspiration to meet Shri Krishna and his reaching Dwarka was beautifully depicted. As soon as Lord Krishna heard the name of Sudama from the gatekeeper, he ran barefoot to meet his friend, the entire pandal echoed with cheers.

It was shown in the staging that Shri Krishna lovingly seated his childhood friend Sudama on the throne in the palace and washed his feet with his tears. Shri Krishna accepted the rice brought by Sudama with great love. At the end of the story, the scene of Sudama being transformed from poverty to a palace by the grace of Shri Krishna remained the center of attraction for the audience.

During the programme, the dialogues, music and acting of the artists mesmerized the devotees. A large number of devotees and dignitaries including members of the organizing committee were present.
