Chennai: Tamil Nadu witnessed a historic moment on Sunday, May 10, as actor and TVK founder C. Joseph Vijay took oath as the new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Several moments from the swearing-in ceremony drew public attention, including the presence of actress Trisha Krishnan at the event.

Trisha appeared at the ceremony wearing a blue Kanjeevaram silk saree adorned with jasmine flowers. Her appearance attracted attention among attendees and on social media.

Just moments before the swearing-in ceremony, Trisha had reportedly expressed excitement about witnessing the historic occasion. Her mother, Uma Krishnan, also attended the ceremony along with her.

Trisha’s embroidered blouse, diamond and ruby jewellery, minimal makeup, and traditional bindi styling also became a talking point during the event.

Old video goes viral

Meanwhile, an old video of Trisha from 2004 has gone viral on social media. In the television interview, she had reportedly said, “I will definitely become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.”

Trisha has also remained in the news over allegations made earlier by Vijay’s wife, who had reportedly accused the actress of being responsible for differences in their marriage.

Earlier, when TVK was maintaining a strong lead in the election results, Trisha had also made headlines after she was seen at the Tirupati temple. As soon as the results were announced, she reportedly went directly to Vijay’s residence.

The actress has continued to remain in the spotlight throughout the political developments surrounding Vijay and TVK.
