Great news for Gujarat Titans fans as Shubman Gill has given an update on the ankle injury he suffered during their massive win over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026. Gujarat Titans had an all-around performance at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday to thump Rajasthan Royals by 77 runs to jump to second place in the points table and make it four straight wins in IPL 2026.

The GT captain looked in complete control and along with Sai Sudharsan went on to put on a 118-run opening partnership. However after the match the GT skipper said that he tweaked his ankle while running between the wickets.
Shubman said:
"I think I just while taking the run, I think twisted my ankle a little bit. It was quite painful. But I think after half an hour or so it settled down a bit."

Gill Praises Team's All-around Performance
The skipper also praised his team's all-round performance, admitting they had talked about not playing a perfect game previously.
Gill said:
"Yeah, definitely even before this match we had a conversation that till now I don't think we had a perfect match. So very happy. I think this was a clean win for us."
Chasing 230, the Rajasthan Royals were never at ease. They lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also lost his wicket on a start after Mohammed Siraj got a crucial breakthrough.
GT bowlers dominated the second innings completely and the Royals were bundled out for just 152 in 16.3 overs. Rashid Khan picked up 4/33 whereas Jason Holder grabbed 3/12.
