Pakistan Suicide Attack: Explosive-laden vehicle collides with police check post in Bannu district, 15 policemen killed, many injured

Pakistan Suicide Attack: A massive suicide attack took place in Pakistan’s Bannu District late Saturday night. In this case, a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle filled with gunpowder into the Fateh Khel Police Checkpost. In this massive blast, 15 policemen lost their lives and three other soldiers were injured. Officials have confirmed this incident.

The explosion was so powerful that the Police Checkpost was completely reduced to debris. Bannu DIG Sajjad Khan said that the explosion caused huge destruction and many soldiers were buried under the debris. Rescue teams safely pulled out three police officers from the debris after an overnight operation. The injured were immediately admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital, where the DIG went and took stock of their treatment.

Officials have identified the deceased soldiers. Their names are Rahmat Ayaz, Sanaullah, Niaz Ali, Habib, Sadullah Jan, Kamran (son Khan Sikandar), another Kamran, Noorullah, Abid Jani, Imran, Kalimullah, Sadiqullah, Munir Alam Khan, Rahatullah Khan and Farooq. The names of the injured soldiers have been described as culprits Firoz, Hayatullah and Kadrullah.

According to the report, the explosion was so powerful that its sound was heard even in remote areas of the district. The blast also caused considerable damage to nearby houses and civil buildings. Eyewitnesses say that the roofs of many houses collapsed due to the blast. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has strongly condemned the attack.

Earlier on Sunday, the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for 10 operations in different areas of Balochistan. The organization claims that they carried out attacks in Kharan, Washuk, Awaran, Kech and Mastung. 10 security personnel and 4 other people were killed in these attacks. BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that their fighters targeted military camps, convoys and soldiers guarding the road construction company. They also claimed that on May 3, a checkpoint in Kharan city was attacked with rockets and grenade launchers, causing significant damage. The organization has also talked about confiscating weapons and destroying surveillance cameras.
