The entire security apparatus was in panic after two gelatin sticks were recovered near the venue located on the outskirts of the city. This recovery took place when the Prime Minister had reached Bengaluru to attend an important program.

According to the information, the explosive material was found near an ashram near Kagalipura area, which is said to be about three kilometers away from the venue of the Prime Minister's program. After the incident came to light, police, bomb disposal squad and intelligence agencies immediately became active.
Gelatin sticks found during security check
According to news agency ANI, the DIG of Bengaluru Central Range said that a comprehensive security check was being conducted in the area before the Prime Minister's visit. Meanwhile, on Sunday morning, two gelatin sticks were recovered from the footpath. According to officials, immediately after the recovery, the entire area was cordoned off and the forensic team along with the bomb disposal squad was called to the spot. In the initial investigation, the material was considered suspicious and it was safely seized. At present, the investigating agencies are trying to find out how this explosive reached there and whether there is any link to any big conspiracy behind it.
Surveillance was increased after intelligence alert
This incident has come to light at a time when intelligence agencies had issued an alert a day earlier regarding a possible terrorist threat. After this, security agencies of many states including Delhi were instructed to take extra vigilance at sensitive places. According to sources, the police were especially asked to keep an eye on unclaimed goods, suspicious vehicles and unusual activities. Due to this alertness, timely recovery of gelatin sticks was possible.
PM Modi had reached the Art of Living program
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had come to attend the program organized at the international center of the Art of Living Foundation located on the outskirts of Bengaluru. This event was organized on the occasion of completion of 45 years of the establishment of the institution. The founder of the organization Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was also present in this program.
In view of the Prime Minister's visit, strict security arrangements were already made in the area. But after explosive material was found near the venue, security agencies intensified the search operation in the entire area.
Investigating agencies are investigating from every angle
Police officials say that at present the matter is being investigated seriously. CCTV footage is being scrutinized and nearby people are also being questioned. Security agencies are trying to find out whether the gelatin sticks were related to some construction work or whether they were kept there intentionally.
