Do not do these things on the day of Apara Ekadashi

Water to Tulsi: On the day of Ekadashi, offering water to the Tulsi plant, touching the Tulsi plant and plucking Tulsi leaves is prohibited. By doing this, Tulsi ji's fast for Lord Vishnu gets broken, due to which Tulsi Mata and Lord Vishnu get angry.

Do not keep dried basil: Before Ekadashi, flow the dried Tulsi respectfully into a river or reservoir. Because keeping dried basil in the house gives inauspicious results.

Consuming Tamasic things: On the day of Ekadashi, neither consume tamasic things nor bring them into the house. By doing this the blessings of the house are destroyed.
