Ruturaj Gaikwad said he was pleased after Chennai Super Kings chased down 204 to beat Lucknow Super Giants by five wickets in IPL 2026.
It was CSK’s first successful chase of 180-plus since 2019, powered by Urvil Patel’s record-equalling 13-ball fifty and explosive 65. Gaikwad praised the team’s strong Power-play and credited the bowlers, especially Jamie Overton, for pulling things back after Josh Inglis’s attacking 85 for LSG.
He also highlighted the impact of a key tactical timeout message and stressed recovery ahead of the return fixture in Lucknow.
