Bhuvneshwar Kumar created history after another top display with the ball during the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday (May 12) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan International Stadium.

Only Yuzvendra Chahal (5) has achieved the feat more times. Meanwhile, this was the 36-year-old's sixth wicket haul of the ongoing season. This is the joint most a player has managed in one season after Harshal Patel. The latter also achieved the extraordinary feat while playing for RCB in 2021.
