Suryakumar Yadav Says MI Fell Short After Last-Ball Defeat to RCB in IPL 2026

Stand-in Suryakumar Yadav admitted Mumbai Indians were 10-15 runs short after their dramatic two-wicket defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru ended their IPL 2026 campaign.
Despite recovering from 28/3 through fine knocks from Tilak Varma (57) and Naman Dhir (47), MI could only post 166/7 on a difficult surface. Suryakumar praised youngster Raj Bawa for nearly defending 15 runs in the final over and also lauded Corbin Bosch for his four-wicket spell.
He described the elimination as a “hard pill to swallow” but backed MI to return stronger next season.
