If you've been thinking about buying a new mattress, now is actually a really good time to do it. Simba is running one of its sleep giveaways, and it's worth a look. You can get up to £836 worth of free bedding with selected mattresses, including pillows, duvets and mattress protectors. The only catch is that the deal ends on May 14, 2026, so you don't have much time left.

One of the items included is the Hybrid Ultra pillow, and it's one I now use every night.

Depending on the mattress you choose (Hybrid, Hybrid Pro, Hybrid Luxe or Hybrid Ultra), you can get up to two Hybrid pillows included, although you'll get one if you buy a single. If you choose an Escape or Apex mattress, you will also receive a Hybrid Pillow (or two). Some options also come with a duvet and mattress protector, so you're basically upgrading your whole bed in one go.

What first caught my attention about the Simba Hybrid Pillow was the number of reviews saying it helped with neck and shoulder pain. I'm a side sleeper, and I often wake up with a sore shoulder, so I was curious to see if it would actually make a difference.

The pillow itself feels like a mix between a soft, down-style pillow and a firmer memory foam one. Other brands, like Emma, make similar hybrid pillows, but this one stands out because you can easily adjust how firm it is.

Inside, it's filled with what Simba calls its "nanocube technology" - small, soft foam cubes that you can add or remove to suit how you like your pillow. You can also move them around to change the shape a bit. They feel lighter than memory foam, and Simba says they're made in a more environmentally friendly way, too.

There's also a "cool-touch" side designed to help keep the pillow cool at night. The price is £109, which did make me hesitate at first. It's not as expensive as some premium pillows that cost over £200, but it's still a lot compared to something likeIKEA's £25 options.

That said, I've noticed a real difference. Being able to adjust the firmness has helped with my neck and shoulder pain, especially in the mornings. It's one of those things I didn't think would matter that much - but it does. The covers are also machine washable (just don't wash the nanocubes), which is handy. And while the cooling side works, you might not feel it as much if you use a thick pillowcase.

The pillow is great, but it's not the only thing included. Simba's duvets and mattress protectors are part of the deal too, depending on the mattress you choose. So if you're already planning to buy a new mattress, this is a simple way to upgrade everything at once-and get a bit more for your money while you're at it.

And if you're not in the market for a new mattress right now, it's worth keeping an eye on the Simba website as they sometimes have seasonal sales that see the pillow drop below £100.
