Prithvi Shaw could be brought as an impact player after having no chance in IPL 2026 thus far. Although Pathum Nissanka has earned a decent amount of success at the top in his maiden season, Axar Patel had hinted at giving more players chances in the upcoming games. Should the Delhi Capitals bat second, the right-hander has a massive chance of batting at the top with KL Rahul.

2) David Miller

Delhi Capitals have had multiple batting collapses this season and it has been at the heart of their underperformance in IPL 2026. With the Capitals also benching Miller in the last few matches, their tail has looked seemingly longer, bereft of a dependable batter or six-hitter at the death. Should the Capitals undergo another batting collapse, the veteran South African could be inserted as an impact player.

1) Cooper Connolly

Since Priyansh Arya was Punjab Kings’ impact player in the last match and it didn’t pay much of a dividend, they could benefit by having Cooper Connolly as an impact player. While Connolly is an excellent fielder, he is not bowling as of now. Hence, Punjab Kings could be at an advantageous position by having the Aussie batter as an impact substitute.
