Business Desk-Gold Silver Price Today: Gold prices have fallen in most cities of the country on the first day of the week. On the morning of May 11, the price of 24-carat gold in the capital Delhi fell to Rs 152,490 per 10 grams.

The rate of 24-carat gold in Mumbai is now Rs 152,340 per 10 grams. In the last one week, the price of 24-carat gold has increased by Rs 1,640, while the price of 22-carat gold has increased by Rs 1,500. In the international market, spot gold is trading at $4,721 per ounce.

According to reports, US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s new peace proposal, which was aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Due to this, uncertainty regarding the situation in the Middle East has increased further.

Hopes for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital sea route, have been dealt a blow, and crude oil prices have once again surged, rising more than 3 percent.

  • Mumbai and Kolkata: In Mumbai and Kolkata, the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 139,640 per 10 grams, while the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 152,340 per 10 grams.
  • Gold Price in Chennai: 24-carat gold price is Rs 154,360 per 10 grams. The rate of 22-carat gold is Rs 141,490 per 10 grams.
  • Prices in Pune and Bengaluru: The price of 24-carat gold in these two cities is Rs 152,340 per 10 grams, and the price of 22-carat gold is Rs 139,640 per 10 grams.
  • In Ahmedabad and Bhopal, 22 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,39,690 and 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,52,390 per 10 grams.

Gold prices were highest in Chennai, where 22 carat gold reached Rs 1,41,490 and 24 carat gold reached Rs 1,54,360 per 10 grams. Whereas in Kolkata and Hyderabad, 22 carat gold is trading at Rs 1,39,640 and 24 carat gold is trading at Rs 1,52,340. In Jaipur, Lucknow and Chandigarh, the price of 22 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,39,790 and the price of 24 carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,52,490 per 10 grams.

A decline has also been seen in the price of silver. On the morning of May 11, the price of silver is Rs 274,900 per kg. In the last one week the price of silver has fallen by Rs 10,000.

In January this year, the price of silver in the country had crossed the Rs 400,000 mark. Spot silver is trading at $81.14 per ounce in the international market. Domestic gold and silver prices are influenced by both domestic and global factors.
