New Delhi: Commercial flight operations from the upcoming Noida International Airport are scheduled to begin on June 15, 2026, and airlines have started unveiling their plans for the new airport.
After IndiGo’s announcement, Akasa Air on Monday confirmed that it will begin operating flights from the airport from June 16 on two major domestic routes.
Flights to Bengaluru and Navi MumbaiAkasa Air said it will operate daily direct flights connecting Noida International Airport with Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai.
“Effective 16 June 2026, Akasa Air will commence daily direct flights connecting Noida International Airport with Bengaluru and Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai, strengthening access to the National Capital Region (NCR) while linking it with two of India’s most dynamic economic centres,” the airline said in a statement.
The airline currently operates 188 weekly flights from the NCR region.
Ticket booking now openPassengers can now book tickets for the new routes through Akasa Air’s official website, mobile applications on Android and iOS, and other online travel platforms.
The airline said it plans to gradually increase its operations fromNoida International Airport in the coming months.
“The airline will continue to progressively strengthen its network from Noida International Airport, expanding both domestic and international connectivity over time.
Akasa Air will also operate a state-of-the-art MRO facility within the airport premises, offering advanced MRO services, supporting a broad spectrum of aircraft maintenance activities and ensuring high standards of operational efficiency and safety,” it added.
Airport operations to begin from June 15The launch of services from Noida International Airport marks a major step in boosting air connectivity in the Delhi-NCR region. The airport is expected to reduce pressure on Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport and improve access for passengers from Noida, Greater Noida and nearby cities.
Several airlines are expected to announce additional domestic and international routes in the coming weeks ahead of the airport’s commercial launch.
