Former MLA Faces Legal Trouble Over Monkey Death in Badaun

Badaun News: In the Sahaswan area of Badaun district, Uttar Pradesh, former MLA and Samajwadi Party leader Haji Musarrat Ali Bittan is facing increasing legal challenges following the death of a monkey. The police have completed their investigation and filed a charge sheet against him in court.



This incident was registered under the Wildlife Protection Act. The investigation revealed that the monkey died after coming into contact with an electrified prohibited wire installed on the boundary of the former MLA's office premises.


Monkey's Body Discovered in February

The incident occurred in February of this year. A monkey was found dead near the boundary of Haji Musarrat Ali Bittan's office in Sahaswan. The case was registered following a complaint by animal lover Vikrendra Sharma, who alleged that the electrified wire installed for security purposes led to the monkey's death.


Investigation Confirms Allegations

During the investigation, police collected evidence from the scene and conducted technical tests. After confirming the allegations, they submitted a charge sheet to the court. Inspector Dhananjay Singh, in charge of Sahaswan, stated that sufficient evidence was found against the former MLA, which formed the basis of the charge sheet presented in court.


Response from the Former MLA

Haji Musarrat Ali Bittan mentioned that he is currently away and learned about the charge sheet through the media. He stated that he would provide a detailed response after reviewing the documents. According to the police, further actions and hearings regarding this case will now proceed in court.
