Material

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons tea leaves
  • 2 fresh lemongrass sticks
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 cardamoms
  • small piece of ginger

Step 1: Prepare the lemongrass

First of all, lightly crush the lemongrass stick, so that its aroma and flavor can come out well. Now crush ginger and cardamom a little. This will make the taste of tea more refreshing.

Step 2: Boil flavors in water

Pour water in a pan and add lemongrass, ginger and cardamom. Let it boil for 4-5 minutes on medium flame. During this time all the fragrances and herbal flavors will dissolve well in the water.

Step 3: Mix tea leaves and sugar

Now add tea leaves and sugar in boiling water. Let it brew for two minutes so that the color and taste of the tea comes out well. Boiling tea leaves for too long can make the taste bitter.

Step 4: Correct method of pouring milk

Instead of pouring cold milk directly, heat it slightly first. Now reduce the gas flame and slowly add milk. This is the most important step, due to which the lemongrass tea does not curdle and becomes smooth.

Step 5: Final Boil and Serve

After adding milk, boil the tea on low flame for just 1-2 minutes. Cooking for too long may alter the flavor. Now filter it and pour it into a cup and enjoy hot milk lemongrass tea.
