Assam: CM-designate Himanta Biswa Sarma to take oath with four ministers on Tuesday

Himanta Biswa Sarma will take oath as Assam Chief Minister on Tuesday. Four ministers will be sworn in with him. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ceremony. Top NDA leaders and Chief Ministers from 22 states are also expected. Ranjit Das will be the candidate for Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.

Guwahati: Assam chief minister designate Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that along with him four ministers will take oath on Tuesday.

Sarma stated in X,"Happy to announce that the following four colleagues of mine will take oath as Ministers tomorrow along with me in the august presence of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji -

I am also happy to share that Shri Ranjit Das, Hon’ble MLA, will be our candidate for the post of Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to begin at around 11 am on Tuesday and is expected to witness the presence of top NDA leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

He added, “The Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of 22 states will be present for the ceremony. Apart from NDA Chief Ministers, the Chief Minister of Mizoram will also attend". The ceremony is also expected to witness participation from diplomats, religious heads and industrialists from across the country."
