Lucknow, Read: Now Nepal will buy treated mangoes from Uttar Pradesh on the lines of European countries. There will be hot water treatment of fruits for export. This method treats the fruit and frees it from diseases and pests. Fruits and vegetables treated with hot water treatment are a necessity in European countries. Earlier, Nepal used to purchase mangoes and vegetables directly without any standards.
On Nepal’s demand, exporters have started taking orders and other processes. Who will get the mangoes treated hot water in the Mango Pack House of Mandi Parishad operated in Rehman Kheda, Malihabad and will export it after taking certification from here. Pack House operator Amit Aggarwal said that exporters will buy mangoes from southern states in the initial phase.
Who will bring them to the pack house by the end of May and undergo hot water treatment. Will export to Nepal from the beginning of June. After this, mangoes will start coming from other districts including Lucknow, which will be exported to other countries.
Team will come from Malaysia on 15th and 16th
On 15th and 16th, a team of officers and experts from Malaysia will come to Lucknow. Who will visit the gardens along with APEDA and Horticulture Department. Mainly it will test mango orchards, their registration, yield, quality, quantity of pesticide used etc. If the standards are met, an order for Malaysia is expected. Last week the team from Delhi had also visited the gardens.
