A mysterious bomb blast in a crowded market near the Afghan border in Bannu, Pakistan created a sensation. 7 killed, dozens injured, police also on target. Constantly increasing terrorist attacks and Pakistan-Afghanistan tension raised questions on security. Is this a cross-border conspiracy or the sound of a bigger war?

'Operation Ghazab Lil Haq': Pakistan's surgical strike in Afghanistan?
This blast is not just a terrorist incident, but appears to be part of a larger regional conflict. Recently, Pakistan has started 'Operation Ghazab Lil Haq' against terrorists operating on Afghan soil. According to claims, the Pakistani Air Force has targeted Taliban military bases to stop cross-border attacks. Pakistan alleges that the conspiracy to carry out bloody attacks on its soil is being hatched in the safe havens of Afghanistan.

Increasing tension near the border – have terrorist networks become active again?
This area is located very close to the Afghanistan border, where the security situation has been continuously deteriorating for the last few months. This blast has emerged as a major challenge for the security agencies after the recent military tension and cross-border attacks. According to Pakistani officials, this attack could be part of an organized terrorist conspiracy, although no group has yet claimed responsibility for it.

Taliban roar: “Violation of sovereignty will not be tolerated”
On the other hand, the Taliban government sitting in Kabul has strongly condemned these air strikes by Pakistan. The Taliban say that Pakistan is violating Afghan sovereignty and innocent civilians are being killed in these attacks. They have resolved that they will protect their land. Taliban has made it clear that Afghanistan cannot be made a scapegoat for internal terrorism in Pakistan. This accusation and counter-accusation between the two countries has now transformed into military clashes.

Threat to regional stability: Will there be compromise or war?
This is the second major attack in the last four days. Earlier on Saturday, 15 policemen were martyred in an attack on a police post. This increasing military and diplomatic standoff between Pakistan and Afghanistan is destabilizing the security system of South Asia. If no new avenues of dialogue are opened between the two countries, this border conflict could escalate into a full-blown war, resulting in a humanitarian crisis and regional devastation. Now all eyes are on whether the international community will intervene to stop this conflict or whether this 'fire' will engulf the entire region.
