Lifestyle Desk – Who would not like to eat ice cream? We always bring our favorite ice cream from the market, but if the ice cream is made at home then it is even more fun. But people think that making ice cream at home is not easy. But you can make chocobar ice cream at home, which is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just like the market. It is not that difficult, you just need to know the right way of chocolate coating. Today we will tell you a simple recipe in which you will get the same crunch and creamy texture. Let us know the easy recipe of making Chocobar ice cream at home.

Material

For ice cream base
Full cream milk-2 cups
Fresh cream-1 cup
Sugar-3 tbsp
Milk powder-2 tbsp
Cornflour-1 tablespoon
Vanilla essence-1 tsp
for chocolate coating
Dark or milk chocolate-200 grams
Coconut oil or butter – 2 tbsp
Crushed almonds/peanuts/waffle crumbs (for crunch)- 1/2 cup

Method

  1. First of all heat milk in a pan. Mix cornflour and milk powder in some cold milk and make a smooth batter.
  2. Add it to hot milk and keep stirring continuously. Add sugar and let it thicken slightly for 4-5 minutes. Turn off the gas and cool the mixture completely. Now add fresh cream and vanilla essence to it.
  3. Fill the prepared mixture in a chocobar mold or small paper cup. Place an ice cream stick in the middle. Let set in the freezer for 7–8 hours or overnight.
  4. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Add coconut oil or butter in it. This makes the coating thin and crisp. Now add crushed nuts or waffle crumbs to it.
  5. If the chocolate is too thick then the layer will be thick and the crunch will not come. Therefore it is necessary to add some oil.
  6. Remove the frozen ice cream from the mold. Dip immediately into melted chocolate. Chocolate will set in 10–15 seconds. If you want, you can make a thick layer by dipping it again.
  7. Place all the choco bars on butter paper. Keep in the freezer again for 15–20 minutes. Now your homemade crunchy chocobar ice cream is ready.

Extra Tips

  1. You can add some condensed milk for a more creamy texture.
  2. Also add sprinkles or chocolate chips for kids.
  3. If you use silicone mold then it will be easy to take out.
  4. The ice cream should be very well frozen before dipping the chocolate.
