Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry trailer explores friendship and self-discovery

The trailer of the slice-of-life film ‘Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry’, starring Patralekhaa and Maanvi Gagroo, has been released, providing a heartfelt look into a journey of healing, friendship, and self-discovery. Directed by Kartik Chaudhry, the film is a road-trip drama that examines identity, female friendships, and the societal expectations placed on women, while celebrating the courage to break free and rediscover oneself.

The trailer introduces the characters Heer (Maanvi Gagroo) and Sara (Patralekhaa), two women at different personal crossroads. Bound by a shared desire to escape societal pressures and past burdens, they set out on a transformative journey to Pondicherry.

Patralekhaa portrays a fearless bike rider and travel enthusiast who aspires to establish a women-led travel startup, thus redefining freedom, ambition, and adventure on her own terms. Regarding her role as Heer, Maanvi Gagroo stated, “When I first read the script, it felt like an easy, lighthearted read with dialogues that were funny yet deeply moving. What drew me in was how simple yet emotionally stirring the story felt. Heer is someone who may not overthink, but she knows what serves her and what doesn’t. She’s confident, comfortable in her own skin, and that’s what I love most about her,” according to a press release.

The film is produced by Maghaa Creations (Dinesh Soni) and Next Level Productions (Neeraj Ruhil and Subhav Sharma), with creative producer Raj Singh Chaudhary, and is backed by Sony Music India. ‘Heer Sara Aur Pondicherry’ also features Arif Zakaria, Nishank Verma, and Shveta Salve in key roles. The film is scheduled for release on May 29.
