The BAFTA-nominated series, featuring a "national treasure", has been on screens for over a decade, reports the Mirror.
ITV's Unforgotten is ideal viewing for crime drama enthusiasts on the hunt for their next binge-worthy obsession.
The compelling series centres on a team of detectives as they unravel cold cases and track down those responsible for them.
Unforgotten boasts a 91 per cent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8.4/10 score on IMDb.
Numerous Reddit users have previously lavished praise on the show, with one posting: "Absolutely brilliant. Nicola Walker is on way to national treasure status."
A second Redditor remarked: "Unforgotten is probably the best UK police drama of the last decade."
A third wrote: "Highly recommend Unforgotten. The whole show is great, but the second series was one of the best things I have seen. Plus, I could watch Nicola Walker forever."
Meanwhile, on IMDb, one viewer shared in their 10/10 review: "This is an absolutely brilliant series with superb acting!"
A second glowing 10/10 review carried the title: "The epitome of British crime dramas; not a wasted episode". The user elaborated: ""Unforgotten" is such a powerful and mesmerizing crime drama series [sic]."
Yet another top-rated review celebrated the show as "Truly a UK Crime Drama at its best".
They stated in their critique: "Straight 10s for the whole series. Truly a jewel in the crown of UK Crime Dramas."
Unforgotten is currently available to stream on ITVX free of charge, with each series centring on an entirely different case. The opening series explored the killing of a young man after builders unearthed his skeleton buried beneath a basement floor.
Series one to four of Unforgotten were fronted by Last Tango in Halifax and River star Nicola Walker as determined detective Cassie Stuart, who would leave no stone unturned to solve each case alongside her partner Sunny Khan (played by Sanjeev Bhaskar).
Following Walker's exit, Little Boy Blue and Being Human actress Sinéad Keenan stepped into the role of Cassie's successor Jessie James.
Furthermore, each series introduced an entirely new ensemble cast, with fresh faces portraying suspects, including BAFTA winner Tom Courtenay, Line of Duty's Mark Bonnar, Outlander's James Fleet and Alex Jennings from The Crown, amongst many others.
Unforgotten has now completed six series and is set to return for a seventh.
