Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma and under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Anil Kumar and Area Officer Obra Amit Kumar, effective action was taken by Kon police station in the ongoing campaign to maintain peace and law and order in the district.
On Tuesday, 12.05.2026, in view of the possibility of peace and order being affected in various cases of Kon police station area, a total of 10 persons (07 men and 03 women) were booked by Kon police station under section 170/126/135 BNSS – Chanda Devi wife Ajay Kumar Paswan, Pinky Devi wife Chandrabhan Paswan, Shanti Devi wife Ajay Kumar Paswan, Anshu son Chandrajeet resident Nigai, Akash son of Ramdev resident of Nigai, Pintu Kumar son of Hiravan resident of Nigai, Guddu son of Chatragun resident of Mitihiniyan, Rambhajan Chero son of Jageshwar Singh, Virendra Yadav son of late Vechan Yadav, Amresh Yadav son of Banwari Yadav resident of Jhirgadandi police station, Sonbhadra, age about 37 years were arrested.
Taking necessary legal action against the arrested persons, all were sent for production before the Court of Upazila Magistrate Obra, District Sonbhadra. The district police clarified that the police is fully alert to maintain law and order in the area and any kind of chaotic activity will not be tolerated.
