Limescale is a common problem in many bathrooms, especially in areas with hard water. It forms when minerals such as calcium and magnesium are left behind after water evaporates, creating cloudy white marks and a stubborn build-up on surfaces.

Shower screens are among the most noticeable places for limescale and watermarks to appear, as they are constantly exposed to water and steam. Over time, these marks can make glass screens look dull and dirty. Luckily, a cleaner has shared their go-to method for removing these marks.

Posting on TikTok their simple cleaning method, @necleaningsolutionsltd shared a step-by-step video on how to clean lime-scale-ridden shower screens. The video caption said: "Limescale tips and tricks to get your shower screens looking brand new."

To start with, the cleaner mixes together two natural ingredients, including white vinegar and washing-up liquid, in a 1:1 ratio.

The cleaner then used this solution in a Dishmatic cleaning tool, applying and scrubbing the shower glass.

Once the screen was scrubbed clean, a non-scratch pad was used to gently scrub the shower screen further.

After this, the cleaner simply rinsed the screen, and the limescale had completely gone.

However, to keep it looking fresh and clean, she also used a squeegee to dry the shower, preventing water marks from reappearing.

Lastly, a window and glass cleaner was used to buff and shine the screen along with some kitchen roll. There are many brands of window and glass cleaners on the market, but Astonish was used in the video and can be purchased for around £1.

The video gained more than 160,000 views, with TikTok users loving the easy hack. One comment said: "Honestly, washing up liquid and white vinegar are the elitist cleaning products and so cheap."

Another wrote: "This absolute best," while a third commented that the results were "amazing".
