on the morning of May 12, Karuppu crossed the Rs 1.90 crore mark in Tamil Nadu opening day advance bookings within nearly 36 hours of ticket sales going live.

The update also revealed that the film’s all-India real-time advance booking gross stood at approximately Rs 2.34 crore as of 7:49 AM on Tuesday.

CM Vijay grants permission for 9 AM shows Just days after taking oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Vijay has made a decision that has created major buzz in the Tamil film industry.

According to the Tweet shared by the production house, "Special thanks to our honorable Chief Minister Thiru. Joseph Vijay for granting the special permission for the 9AM shows of #Karuppu. #Karuppu - FDFS begins at 9AM, from May 14th A @SaiAbhyankkar Musical."

Apart from Suriya and Trisha Krishnan, the film also stars Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, and Sshivada in important roles.

Meanwhile, R. Madhavan recently shared the trailer of Karuppu on his social media handles and informed fans that advance bookings for the film are officially open.
