Congress party leaders held a meeting in Chandigarh on Saturday and made a strategy for the elections. Many senior leaders of Punjab Congress including Prabhapi Bhupesh Baghel were present in this meeting. It has been decided in this meeting that the party will conduct a yatra for three days in all the 117 assembly constituencies.

After the brainstorming meeting of the State Congress held in Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab, Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel announced that the party will take out a public relations yatra in all the 117 assembly constituencies of the state. He told that this yatra will continue for three consecutive days. Through this yatra, the party will try to create an atmosphere against the policies of the Punjab government.

From the Congress party, this visit is being seen as preparing the ground for the Punjab Assembly elections. Through this yatra the party will try to communicate directly with the public. Along with this, issues like inflation, unemployment, law and order and corruption will be raised prominently during the yatra. The party will also raise the recent blasts in Punjab and ED raids and controversies to Aam Aadmi Party leaders among the public.

Punjab Congress President Raja Vading, while talking to the media after this meeting, said that BJP and Aam Aadmi Party together are trying to mislead the public. He said that when ED raided the house of Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal, he joined BJP. Now the arrest of Sanjeev Arora is part of their strategy. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has been misusing the police and vigilance, now BJP is doing the same with them.

Charge sheet will be issued against Punjab government

In this meeting, the Congress Party has also decided to bring a charge sheet against the Aam Aadmi Party government. State Congress President said that it has been decided in the meeting that Congress will soon issue a charge sheet against the Punjab government. This will include issues to law and order, corruption and administrative failures.

When will the elections be held?

The tenure of the Punjab Assembly is ending in March next year. In such a situation, the Election Commission will have to conduct the elections by the first week of March. Like the previous assembly elections, this time too assembly elections can be held in the months of February and March. Many political parties have contested these elections. While Aam Aadmi Party will try to form the government again, Shiromani Akali Dal and Congress are trying to return to the state government.
