CBSE 12th Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the results for Class 12. This year, the overall pass rate stands at 85.20%, reflecting a slight decrease from the previous year's figures. Let's explore the detailed statistics of this year's results.

How did the results compare?
In 2025, there were 1,704,367 candidates registered, with 1,692,794 taking the exam, and 1,496,307 achieving success, resulting in a pass percentage of 88.39%. In 2026, the number of registered candidates increased to 1,780,365, with 1,768,968 appearing for the exam, and 1,507,109 passing.

Performance by Gender
In both years, girls have outshone boys in terms of pass rates. In 2026, girls achieved a pass percentage of 88.86%, while boys had a pass rate of 82.13%. In 2025, girls led with a pass percentage of 91.64%, compared to boys at 85.70%. Notably, transgender candidates maintained a 100% pass rate in both years, indicating that girls performed approximately 6.73% better than their male counterparts.
