Gunfire Erupts in Philippine Senate
Manila: Reports indicate that gunfire was heard within the Philippine Senate premises. A senator, who is currently sought by the International Criminal Court (ICC), has been staying inside the building to avoid capture. Ronald Dela Rosa, facing allegations of crimes against humanity related to former President Rodrigo Duterte’s contentious anti-drug campaign, has remained in the Senate complex for two nights as he confronts law enforcement, according to reports from a news outlet.
