These increased rates will be applicable across the country from Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Mother Dairy also increased prices

Mother Dairy has increased the prices of all its milk types by Rs 2 per litre, which will come into effect from May 14, 2026. Mother Dairy has also cited the increase in the cost of milk production as the reason behind this decision. Now from tomorrow the customer will have to pay Rs 2 more per liter for all liquid milk like full cream, toned and double toned.

Another shock in the era of inflation

It is noteworthy that Amul had earlier increased the prices of milk on May 1, 2025, even then there was an increase of only Rs 2 per liter. This decision has come at a time when India has seen a surge in retail inflation.
