Risk of heart attack due to party on weekend and gym on Monday.

Dr Richa Sharma, Consultant Dietitian, Kailash Deepak Hospital Had a special conversation with TV9 on this important topic. Experts say that partying on weekends, staying awake till late night, drinking alcohol or drinking less water can dehydrate the body. In such a situation, doing heavy exercise or high-intensity workout on Monday can put additional pressure on the body. In case of dehydration, there is a deficiency of water and electrolytes in the body, due to which the muscle capacity and recovery of the body is affected.

These problems may occur

Dr. Richa Sharma says that going to the gym at such a time can cause problems like dizziness, weakness, headache, muscle cramps, increased heart rate and imbalanced blood pressure. Many times people ignore it considering it to be normal fatigue, but severe dehydration also reduces the body's ability to control temperature, which can increase the risk of heat exhaustion or fainting.

Keep these things in mind

From the perspective of diet and fitness, it is most important to rehydrate the body first.

It is important to take adequate water, coconut water, electrolytes, fresh fruits and light nutritious food the day after the party.

If the body is feeling heavy or tired then light stretching, walk or yoga can be a better option instead of high-intensity workout.

Fitness does not only mean going to the gym every day, but also understanding the condition of the body and taking right decisions. Giving the body time to recover is as important as exercising.
