Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are clashing in the 57th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. In this match being played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur, KKR, after being invited to bat first, scored 192 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 71 runs in 46 balls before being run out on the last ball, while Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on 49 runs in 29 balls.

KKR has entered this important match without mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty. Captain Ajinkya Rahane told at the time of toss that Varun is injured. He has been replaced by Saurabh Dubey. Saurabh Dubey, who joined the KKR team as an injury replacement, is making his IPL debut. Interestingly, Saurabh has not played any competitive T20 match at the senior level since 2023. He has played 3 T20 matches so far in his professional career, in which he has not been successful in taking a single wicket.

Who is Saurabh Dubey?

Left-arm fast bowler Saurabh Dubey plays for Vidarbha in domestic cricket. He has not been that successful in T20 at the senior level but he has 16 wickets in his name in 8 List-A matches. He has performed brilliantly while playing for Orange Tigers in the Vidarbha T20 League. Saurabh remained unsold in the IPL 2026 auction. He was signed by KKR midway through the current season as an injury replacement for Akash Deep.

Before this, Saurabh had been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022. However, that season he was out due to injury without playing any match. Saurabh came into limelight for the first time in 2019. He was the highest wicket taker for India in the Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
