Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO ​​is soon going to launch a new portal named E-PRAAPTI. Which will especially help in tracking closed and inoperative PF accounts. This new portal is being brought to provide relief to crores of employees who have lost their PF money due to change of job, loss of records or lack of UAN.

What is E-PRAAPTI Portal?

Giving information about this, Union Labor and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has also announced the launch of E-PRAAPTI Portal. The full name of this portal is Employee Provident Fund Aadhaar-Based Access Portal for Tracking Inoperative Accounts. With the help of this portal, users will be able to search their old PF accounts through Aadhaar based authentication. The special thing in this process is that it will benefit the most those people who do not have UAN number and this was the case with the employees working before 2014.

It has also been claimed in the reports that this portal will work on the basis of Member ID but in future, it will also help those people who do not remember their old Member ID.

Crores of claims settled in record time

At the same time, year after year it has been seen that EPFO ​​has made its services much faster through technology. Along with this, let us tell you that in this financial year 2026, EPFO ​​has settled a record 8.31 crore claims and last year this figure was 6.01 crore. Know that out of these, about 5.51 crore claims were to advance withdrawal. The biggest thing in this was that about 71.11% advance claims were processed in auto mode within just 3 days. Adoption of technology by EPFO ​​has given relief to people from linking bank accounts, uploading check book photos and making repeated visits to the office.

Now you will not have to visit offices

The impact of the digital system prepared by EPFO ​​is clearly visible. In which about 29.34 lakh people updated their profiles online themselves without going to any office. Whereas 70.55 lakh transfer claims were completed through auto-process without any human intervention.

If we look at the figures, in April 2026 alone, 61.03 lakh claims were settled, out of which 98.70% cases were settled in less than 20 days. In such a situation, it is believed that after the launch of E-PRAAPTI Portal, it will be much easier than before to withdraw crores of rupees stuck in the old PF account. With the advent of this portal, employees’ running around in offices and long paper processes will be eliminated to a great extent.
