Noida Power Department: A new digital facility has been introduced for electricity consumers in Noida. Now, by scanning a QR code provided by the Power Department, consumers can get their electricity-related complaints resolved instantly—without any paperwork and without having to visit the department's offices. The objective of this initiative is to bring about a significant improvement in service delivery. This digital upgrade aims to ensure that consumers now receive faster, more transparent, and simpler service. Furthermore, there will no longer be any need to make repeated rounds of the power offices or stand in long queues to register complaints. Let's explore this in greater detail...
Which complaints can be registered?
The Power Department has launched a new QR code-based helpline service. Upon scanning the QR code, consumers will be directed straight to a dedicated complaint portal, where they can register issues related to electricity bills, faulty meters, power outages, line faults, transformer-related problems, and other technical grievances. This system is expected to make the process of resolving consumer issues faster and more effective than ever before. Additionally, this new system is set to benefit approximately 447,000 electricity consumers.
Consumers to receive notifications via email.
According to the Power Department, once a complaint is registered, it will be monitored digitally. Furthermore, once the issue has been resolved, a notification will be sent to the consumer via email. This will enable consumers to stay informed about the action taken regarding their complaint and exactly when it was resolved. In addition, this new QR code-based facility has been integrated with the 1912 helpline. It is worth noting that consumers previously registered their complaints primarily through the 1912 helpline number; however, they often faced difficulties due to high call volumes.
