New Delhi. One of the most famous films of Bollywood’s ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ Aamir Khan, ‘3 Idiots’ is still very popular among the audience. Now work on its second part (Part 2) has also started.
‘3 Idiots 2’: Cast, story and new twist
The eagerly awaited sequel of this famous film has been announced recently. Due to this, the fans are very excited and curious as to what will be seen in this new chapter. Now a source has revealed that Aamir Khan has officially started work on the sequel of this 2009 blockbuster film.
According to an industry source, Aamir Khan has officially started working on the sequel of ‘3 Idiots’. This project is currently in the pre-production stage. It has been confirmed that the original trio of the film—Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi—will be seen reprising their old characters in the much-awaited sequel.
The source further said that the sequel will see a big ‘time leap’. This means that the characters in the film will no longer be at the same stage of life that they were in in the 2009 film. Interestingly, the biggest twist to this project is regarding its ‘timeline’.
Although the time leap has been confirmed, it is not yet clear whether the film’s story will take place before or after the events of the original film. The source says that at present only Aamir Khan knows the exact direction of the story. Meanwhile, it is reported that Rajkumar Hirani—who directed the original blockbuster film—is returning to direct the sequel as well.

This film also got unprecedented success in China, where it even left behind the collections of Hollywood films like ‘Avatar’ at the box office. For this reason it became one of the most famous and successful films of Indian cinema.
