New Delhi. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the India A team for the ODI Tri-Series with Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. Interestingly, 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also got a chance for this series, who will be a part of India A Squad for the first time. India A will play in this series under the captaincy of Tilak Verma, while Riyan Parag will be the vice-captain.

India A will also play series with Sri Lanka A

The men’s selection committee has selected the India A team for the triangular series to be held in Sri Lanka in June. Apart from India, A teams from Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will participate in this series. Apart from this, India A will also play two multi-day matches against Sri Lanka A for which the squad will be announced later. The white ball series matches will be held in Dambulla, while the red ball matches will be hosted by Galle.

This triangular series between India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan A will be played after IPL 2026. Its first match will be played between the A teams of India and Sri Lanka on June 9, while India’s second match will be against Afghanistan on June 11. All three teams will play a total of four matches each and the final match of the triangular series will be played between the two teams that win the most matches on June 21.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi has impressed in the current season of IPL. Vaibhav Suryavanshi plays for Rajasthan Royals and has scored 440 runs in 11 matches so far this season. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has also scored a century in this season.
