Virgin Media's TV service is down for thousands of homes across the UK, with many currently unable to watch anything on their televisions. The highly annoying gremlins began at around 11.30am, with many being hit by an issue that leaves content unwatchable due to a picture that appears scrambled, pixelated and constantly jumping. Some are even reporting that the whole system has frozen, leaving them unable to change channels.
Many users have rushed to social media to complain about the problems, with many also posting videos showing exactly how frustrating the issue is.
"This is my Virgin TV since the upgrade won't change channel or move to another app, and I've been trying for over 3 hours," said Virgin user Dean in a post on social media.
"Anyone got issues with Virgin Media atm? TV is all over the place," added Virgin user Matt.
With so many complaints flooding in, Virgin has now issued an apology, with the firm saying that it is working on a fix.
"We apologise to customers who are experiencing issues with their TV services at the moment. Our teams are working as a priority to identify the fault and will restore services to normal as soon as possible," the company said in a statement via X.
