BRICS 2026 Summit Diplomatic Roadmap: Today is the second day of the BRICS Summit 2026 and during this the third important session is being organized. India’s External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is playing a very important role in this conference. Today he is going to hold many special and important bilateral meetings with his counterparts from different countries. Apart from these meetings, Dr. Jaishankar will also host a special dinner for the leaders of all the countries today.
During this special BRICS summit, India is strengthening its position diplomatically even more. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had addressed all the leaders present at the grand inaugural ceremony of the summit. After this big address, he also held a very important meeting with the foreign ministers of BRICS countries. In this meeting, the journey of the organization in the last 20 years, its achievements and the right direction for the future were discussed.
Special meeting with foreign ministers of 10 countries
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar is going to hold his special bilateral meeting today with ministers of a total of 10 countries. This includes ministers from Malaysia at 2.30 pm, United Arab Emirates at 3.00 pm and Belarus at 3.05 pm. Apart from this, he will also have important meetings with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia at 3.10 and Kazakhstan at 3.15. There will be a meeting with the Permanent Secretary of Nigeria at 3.20 pm and the Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan at 3.25 pm. Immediately after this, he will have important bilateral discussions with the Foreign Minister of Vietnam at 3.30 and Cuban Foreign Minister at 3.45. Finally, at 4.15 pm, he will conclude this long round of meetings with the Foreign Minister of Uganda.
A strong future is being built with 20 years of experience and cooperation
Dr. Jaishankar said that the future direction is being decided keeping in mind the long experience of the last 20 years. The strong presence of partner countries has greatly strengthened all our collective efforts. This collective strength of ours can make BRICS more effective and more adaptable to changing global conditions.
The Foreign Minister clearly said that with time both the scope and importance of BRICS has increased significantly in the entire world. This reflects the desire of emerging economies for a very inclusive and balanced international order. BRICS has expanded significantly, but its main focus has remained on the development of people.
S Jaishankar spoke on four priorities
S Jaishankar has also set four priorities for the future namely strength, innovation, cooperation and stability. Under strengthening, work will be done on strengthening the supply chain and creating excellent climate-friendly infrastructure. Major initiatives like Youth Startup Platform and Science and Research Repository have been taken to promote innovation.
To enhance cooperation, BRICS MSME Connect Portal and many new partnerships in the health sector have been launched. All these excellent and effective initiatives are expected to yield very concrete and good results at the ground level. At the same time, a lot of attention is being focused on clean energy and important paths of sustainable development for stability.
