Malvi Malhotra is all set to star alongside King B Chouhan in the upcoming Punjabi situational comedy-drama Dama Dum Mast Kalandar , directed by Sukhvir Singh. The film blends humour with socially relevant themes .
Speaking about the project, Malvi shared that the film’s strong social message was one of the biggest reasons she came on board. The actress revealed that the story addresses an important issue while balancing emotion, friendship, patriotism, and family values.
Malvi also spoke about her character Jasmine, describing her as fearless, outspoken, and unapologetically vocal about what she wants. She added that such characters are rarely seen in Punjabi cinema , making the role both refreshing and exciting for her as an actor.
According to the actress, the film revolves around themes of self-awareness and confronting realities that people often choose to ignore in everyday life. She believes the story encourages audiences to reflect on issues they are aware of but hesitate to acknowledge.
The film also stars Anita Devgan, Rupinder Rupi, Mintu Kapa, Sukhdev Barnala, Manpreet Singh, Pritish Narula, Sammy Gill and Pahulpreet Singh in pivotal roles.
