According to Drik Panchang, Jyeshtha Amavasya Tithi will start from 5.11 am on May 16. At the same time, it will end on May 17 at 1:30 pm. Keeping in mind the Udaya Tithi, Vat Savitri Vrat will be observed on 16th May, Saturday only. On this day, it is considered auspicious to take a resolution to fast after morning bath and worship. Women keep fast throughout the day and worship the banyan tree in the evening.
