The platform released its 2026 ranking of the top priorities for Asian travelers when searching for accommodations, based on Agoda booking searches conducted between Jan. 1 and April 15, 2026, by travelers from 10 Asian markets: India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.
A free breakfast not only provides a cost-effective start to the day but also allows travelers to experience local flavors and hospitality, Agoda noted.
This trend is particularly notable in Asia, where breakfast options range from traditional local dishes to international favorites.
The report found that Vietnamese travelers are becoming more deliberate in their accommodation choices, placing greater emphasis on property type, trusted review scores and breakfast inclusion.
Flexibility in booking, payment and stay options has also emerged as a key priority for Asian travelers in 2026.
