PM Modi on tour of five countries
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to UAE, where he held a bilateral meeting with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and signed many important agreements. Let us tell you that during this tour, many important agreements related to defense cooperation, energy security and infrastructure investment were signed between India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
UAE also announced to invest $5 billion in India's infrastructure and financial institutions. These agreements were signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This visit of Modi is the first stop of his tour of five countries.
Big agreements in defense and energy sectors
Both countries agreed to prepare a framework for strategic defense partnership. This will further strengthen security and military cooperation between India and UAE. Apart from this, agreements were also made regarding strategic petroleum reserve and LPG supply. It is believed that this will provide great support to India's energy security.
Ship repair cluster to be built in Gujarat
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed to set up a ship repair cluster in Vadinar, Gujarat. Its objective is to promote maritime infrastructure and industrial cooperation. UAE also announced investment of $ 5 billion in India's infrastructure sector as well as RBL Bank and Samman Capital.
Modi said- dialogue and diplomacy is the only solution
In the meeting with the UAE President, PM Modi described dialogue and diplomacy as necessary to end regional tensions. He praised the UAE leadership for showing patience in difficult circumstances. Condemning the attacks on UAE, Modi said that India stands shoulder to shoulder with UAE in every situation. He also thanked the government there for taking care of the Indian community living in UAE like family.
It is important for the Strait of Hormuz to remain open
Expressing concern over the ongoing tension in West Asia, Modi said that it is affecting the entire world. He said that India always supports dialogue and diplomacy to resolve disputes. Underlining the importance of global energy and trade routes, PM Modi said that it is very important for the Strait of Hormuz to remain open and safe and international laws should be followed.

In this tour running from 15 to 20 May, PM Modi will visit many countries including Netherlands, Sweden and Norway after UAE. During this, issues like trade, technology, green energy, artificial intelligence and supply chain will be discussed.
