Smoke rises after blast and fire at a firecracker factory in Madhya Pradesh
An explosion occurred at an alleged illegal firecracker factory in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district on Thursday, which led to the death of three people, leaving 15 others injured, PTI reported, citing officials.

Two casualties are confirmed in the fire incident, which occurred at the unit located in the Tonk Kalan area.

Officials told the news agency that a joint team of the police and administration personnel has launched relief and rescue operations at the site. The injured persons were shifted to hospitals.


Local residents claimed that firecrackers were being manufactured illegally at the factory, and a massive explosion occurred on Thursday.

Senior police and administrative officials immediately reached the spot. They, however, did not immediately clarify the nature of the products being manufactured at the factory.
