PM Modi gave a signal to Iran from UAE? Said- Opening of Hormuz Strait is most important

New Delhi/Abu Dhabi: Amidst the increasing tension and war-like situation in West Asia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for his important visit to five countries today on May 15. On the very first stop of this journey, PM Modi has given a strong message of peace to the whole world from the soil of United Arab Emirates (UAE). Regarding the ‘Strait of Hormuz’ which was closed by Iran for a long time, the Prime Minister bluntly said that the opening of this sea route is India’s top priority.

New chapter of friendship between India and UAE

This visit of Prime Minister Modi has taken the relations between India and UAE to a new height. More than a dozen agreements (MoUs) have been signed between the two countries in important areas like defence, energy and investment. This meeting between Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of UAE has further strengthened the mutual strategic partnership.

Big deal and investment of 5 billion dollars in defense sector

Both countries have agreed to a Strategic Defense Partnership Framework. Under this, not only military training and technical partnership will be promoted, but new dimensions will also be established in the field of defense cooperation. Along with this, great news has also come on the economic front. UAE has announced a huge investment totaling US $ 5 billion in Indian Infrastructure, RBL Bank and Samman Capital.

Gujarat will get a new identity, will become a hub in ship repairing

During this visit, a major decision was taken for Vadinar in Gujarat. MoU has been signed to set up a state-of-the-art ‘Ship Repair Cluster’ at Vadinar. This step will strengthen India’s domestic shipping industry and make the country self-reliant in the field of marine repairs.

Emphasis on energy security and uninterrupted supply of LPG

Keeping energy security in mind, India and UAE have signed a historic agreement to establish ‘Strategic Petroleum Reserve’. This will ensure fuel supply in India during times of crisis. Besides, an important deal has also been signed between the two countries regarding the availability of domestic LPG and continuous supply of LPG to maintain price stability.
