HBTU Kanpur to Launch AI, Machine Learning and Forensic Courses From New Session

Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU) is set to introduce several future-focused academic programs from the 2026–27 academic session, offering students new opportunities in rapidly growing technology and research fields.

The university has announced that it will begin BTech-level courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), along with a new MSc program in Bio Analytics and Forensic Science. The move is being seen as a major step toward preparing students for next-generation careers in technology, research, and advanced analytics.

BTech in AI and Machine Learning to Begin From New Session

According to university officials, the new BTech in AI and ML program will start from the upcoming academic session with an intake capacity of 60 seats.

Admissions to the course will be based on ranks obtained in Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main), allowing students from across India to apply.
