Tess Daly was flooded with messages of support when she returned to Instagram on Friday. The former Strictly Come Dancing host, 57, took to the picture-sharing site and shared a series of glamorous photos. It comes just days after the mum-of-two announced her split from her husband Vernon Kay after 23 years.

The much-loved pair announced their separation with a joint statement on Instagram. They began: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably. This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us.

"We remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority. There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together. We will not be making any further public comments."

In new photos uploaded on Friday, Tess could be seen wearing her wedding ring after she announced their split.

She looked chic in an all black attire as she donned a jumpsuit which was accessorised with sheer mesh arms.

The BBC star sported a smokey eye and accentuated her cheekbones with a pink blush and and a matching glossed lip. Her blonde tresses cascaded down her shoulders in loose waves.

Tess was all smiles in the photos, which she captioned: "The glam before the go [microphone emoji] @aimeeadamsmakeup @mauriceflynn."

Her 931,000 followers flocked to the comment section as her former husband Vernon was one of the first people to like the post.

Claudia Winkleman and Strictly's Motsi Mabuse replied with heart emojis.

A social media user penned: "Look stunning, simple as that, press the reset button and enjoy yourself."

Another echoed: "You look as beautiful as ever! I hope you're holding up ok."

A third added: "Beautiful."

Tess and Vernon tied the knot in 2003 and share two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16. They were last seen publicly together in February of this year when they hosted an episode of The One Show.
