Shoppers have hailed a robot vacuum cleaner that leaves floors 'spotless' as a 'revelation' as it gets a huge discount in a spring sale. The particular model is on offer at Roborock, where there's £400 off the brand's Saros 10 Robot Vacuum.
Usually £1,199.99, it's currently reduced to £799.99, a saving of 33% that undercuts rival models from SharkNinja. The Saros 10 is designed to vacuum independently around the house, delivering 22,000Pa suction power on both carpets and hard floors.
As well as a vacuum cleaner, the two-in-one gadget also serves as a mop for cleaning hard floors with adaptive water temperature up to 80°C. This ensures it can remove more stubborn spills and stains while keeping carpets dry.
The Saros 10 also boasts Roborock's signature Dual Anti-Tangle System that the brand claims delivers 100% hair removal on carpet, making it an ideal vacuum for homes with pets. It utilises LiDAR technology to map each room, with AI-powered obstacle recognition used to detect and navigate around obstacles, avoid bumps and bangs for more efficient cleaning.
Roborock has designed the Saros 10 with an 'AdaptiLift' chassis, touted as an 'industry-first' feature that allows it to cross doorways and thresholds up to 4cm. It also boasts a compact body that's just 7.98cm tall, so it can easily navigate under low-lying furniture.
When it's finished cleaning, the Roborock vacuum will travel back to the RockDock Ultra docking station to recharge, returning to full power in 150 minutes. While here, it also automatically self-cleans its mop and empties any collected dirt and debris.
The robot vacuum can be controlled with a smartphone app and smart home systems such as Google Home and Amazon Alexa. It also offers intelligent voice control that can be activated by saying 'Hello Rocky' to get the cleaning underway.
The Roborock Saros 10 rivals big-name brands like SharkNinja, which has launched its new PowerDetect UV 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum (£999.99). This model is said to be Shark's first with a UV light that reveals 'invisible' messes, which it can remove with HyperSonic Mopping technology.
Elsewhere, Amazon stocks more affordable models like the eufy Omni C20 (£309, was £599), but this has a larger 8.5cm body and less-powerful 7,000Pa suction. As for the Roborock Saros 10 Robot Vacuum, shoppers have awarded this model a 4.35-star rating after more than 60 reviews, with some hailing it as a 'revelation'.
One glowing review says: "The Roborock is a revelation. You can set it to vacuum on different settings for different rooms, same with the wash, including an intense wash for dirtier areas. The app is detailed; you need to spend a bit of time on it, but you can edit spaces and hide zones you don't want cleaned. It doesn't bang into anything, goes under furniture, and gently nudges open a door if it's left slightly ajar. It empties itself, washes itself and charges itself. Our floors are spotless."
Another said: "I wish I'd bought one sooner. I live in a flat with dogs and was cleaning the floor almost every day. It does a great job, and the flat looks clean. I set it off and take the dogs for a walk, and when I get back, the floor is clean. It saves me time, and the flat looks cleaner now. Well worth the purchase."
Despite praising the vacuum and mop quality, this shopper criticised the Roborock app, saying: "Vacuum itself is great, has been vacuuming and mopping well. The app is not very intuitive or user-friendly when setting up."
Meanwhile, this five-star review says: "It looks very stylish and is of quality build. Its mopping is great at reaching the corners and edges, and its ability to self-clean is fantastic. It easily finishes my home with plenty of battery life left. I have not managed to get the arm to do much yet, but with regards to its ability on carpets and hard floors, it surpasses previous robots I've had."
