Authorities in central Khanh Hoa Province are investigating 20 foreign nationals suspected of engaging in unlicensed business activities and violating their visa conditions in the province’s beach town Nha Trang.
Khanh Hoa Provincial Police announced on Wednesday that a joint task force, working with the provincial Department of Home Affairs, inspected the Princess store operated by Global Trading Co. Ltd on Le Hong Phong Street and found the 20 foreigners working across various departments.
An initial cross-check with police databases revealed that the individuals were likely conducting business without proper permits from competent authorities.
Their employment appeared to directly violate the authorized purposes stated on their visas and temporary residence cards.
Police have ordered the legal representatives of Global Trading and Green Travel Group Co. Ltd, a travel company bringing foreigners to Vietnam, to temporarily suspend the employment of the individuals involved. Authorities are continuing their investigation to process the case in accordance with Vietnamese law.
The nationalities of the foreign workers have not yet been disclosed.
